FOR INSIDE MEASUREMENTS
Measure the exact width of the opening. Measure the exact height of the opening. Do not deduct anything from your height measurement. The dimension will already be the right one. This is also the most common way.
FOR OUTSIDE MEASUREMENTS
On the frame: measure the width and height of the area you want to cover and make sure the frame is level. Above the frame: measure width and height and add at least 2" (5 cm) on the height. Now you're ready!
